Global Citizenship Investment - GCI

OPEN LETTER

Apr 20, 2020 - Dear Valued Partner,

First and foremost, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your families during these uncertain times. We trust you and your families are well and continue to remain so.

We see signs of hope as some countries begin to ease lockdown restrictions. Viral curves are flattening in the markets in which we operate. The foresight of the Eastern European governments with early closure of borders (which was no doubt a difficult decision) ensured the pandemic was contained. Corona cases have been restricted to low double digits across the East Europe like Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro etc.

All eyes will soon turn to the economic restart of the East Europe economies. Once travel restrictions are lifted, there could be a record rebound in terms of stay over tourist . We foresee an increase in arrivals from People all over the world, special to invest in there Countries of Ex Yogoslavia (Balkan) with the cheapest Tax in Europe.
All jurisdictions have implemented remote working processes for their Citizenship by Investment Units to ensure continuity in processing.

In the Post Covid era, our outlook for the citizenship by investment industry remains strong. We have experienced an increase in interest over the past few weeks. This demand is concentrated in citizenship by investment jurisdictions that offer more than just visa free travel. Citizenship by investment programs which provide investors the flexibility to invest and reside in more in rising markets such as economies (such Serbia and North Macedonia) will see their popularity grow. Spezial Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia has been the beneficiary of this increased demand as economic citizens are able also, to live and reside in the US through the E2 visa treaty – this is especially the case with citizenship seekers who reside in emerging markets.

Our Board Member, Mr Uwe Zirbes, recently shared his views on the citizenship through Business investment industry in the Business Newspaper Economica and his opinion piece

GCI - Gloal Citizenship by Investment and his Team has seamlessly embraced home working and offers our clients & partners, support through online interactions (through a variety of platforms). Please do not hesitate to contact us if we are able to provide you with any assistance at this juncture.

A GREEK CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM COULD ARRIVE SOON

A GREEK CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM COULD ARRIVE SOON

Apr 02, 2020 - Greece Golden Visa has been quite popular with the foreign investors for quite some time now. The program ultimately awarded its investors with a Greek residence permit but not a citizenship. It is known that Greece is one of the harder countries to get an actual citizenship from. However, things are likely about to change as the newly elected Greek government may be working on a Greek citizenship by investment program.

Turkey lift Visa Regime for five Schengen Countries and UK!

Turkey lift Visa Regime for
five Schengen Countries and UK!

Mar 03, 2020 - Last Thursday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry opened its doors to grant visa-free travel to six more European countries; Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the UK. Has this anything to do with the visa liberalization program that was prepared in 2013, to prepare a route for Turkish citizens to gain visa-free access to the Schengen zone?
Mr. Erdogan has expressed his wish to finalize this process as soon as possible.
Whilst the above step was taken to improve tourism, trade, and relations between Turkey, the EU, and the UK – it must also be looked at as another step closer to the visa liberalization agreement with the EU, allowing Turkish passport holders to travel visa free throughout Europe.
The process to attain a Turkish passport via their new immigration program starts at only $250k into Turkish real estate.

THE BALKANS LIKE A MAGNET FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS

THE BALKANS LIKE A MAGNET FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS

Nov 25, 2019 - Serbia has been at the top of the world for several years when it comes to attracting foreign direct investment. Our intense and persistent efforts to seek investors, global marketing and faith in Balkan countries such as Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, and Northern Macedonia have proven to be very successful, according to Uve Cirbes, Chairman of the Board of GCI UNIT. This German by origin, who in the opinion of his clients is known as a real "magnet" for attracting foreign direct investment, stresses in an interview for our magazine that he will not overdo it if he says that Serbia is, on many issues, developing even faster than its native Germany. Many people will wonder whence in Serbia because many of the investors go West. -I came to Belgrade for the first time in 2016 and was impressed with the city's beauty, as well as the people who live together, regardless of their different nationalities. If it wasn't for a special reason, and I'll explain to you, I probably would never have come to Belgrade because of negative prejudices and bad marketing about your country. But everything I heard through the media, everything that was written and said about this country over the years, everything negative, in the very short term, was completely transformed into a positive one. The Wait is finally Over: Montenegro Citizenship investment program Opens for Applications, First Submissions is already in procedure!

Oct 5, 2019 - More than two years since it was first announced, Montenegro’s new Citizenship by Investment Program is now officially open. Yesterday saw the first official applications submitted. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced on Tuesday the invitation to acquire Montenegrin citizenship through investment, after being done by the tourism sector earlier this year. According to the criteria set out by the line headed by Milutin Simovic in the invitation, the Montenegrin passport will be eligible for investments of at least two million euros. Namely, the Ministry of Agriculture invited interested investors to submit proposals for development projects in the field of agriculture and wood processing by the end of 2021 in order to draw up a list of projects on the basis of which Montenegrin citizenship can be acquired. It is stipulated that the list of development projects, determined by the Government, can only include those in which investment in primary agricultural production amounts to at least two million euros, in the processing of agricultural and fishery products at least three and a half million and in wood processing at least four million - said from ministries.

What are the odds of gaining Portugal Citizenship by investment?

Portugal Residency Program

Jun 4, 2019 - We are really curious to see how many of the current 6000 applicants, who have invested in the yearning of the Portuguese citizenship, actually receive them.

To this day, we have not seen anyone who has received, or heard from any agency, that he has been granted a Portuguese citizenship.
Will there be any at all - if so, how much?
In our opinion, it will be a maximum of, with some luck - 15%.

And these are precisely the applicants, who have actually lived there for longer, and have learned at the very least a basic knowledge of the language.

WE ARE DIFFERENT

MEPs Urge Cutting St Kitts’ Visa-Free Access to Schengen

Citizenship from Caribbean Islands

Jun 4, 2019 - We had fears years ago that the reputation of these islands will suffer eventually. Last year, Canada issued a press release, which states that the Caribbean Islands no longer has visa-free entry. Last week (Mail 2019) came the message that MEPs urge citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis to cancel the visa-free travel to Schengen countries. It remains to be seen how long one can still enter Schengen with this passport. And if that will be the case, it will remain exciting, if it generally affects all other Caribbean islands.
